Alex’s entrepreneurial journey began early: at just 16, he and three friends launched their first company, an event management business, while still in high school.

He pursued business administration and Chinese studies at EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht and Peking University’s Guanghua School of Management, laying the foundation for a global perspective. Alex started his professional career at OC&C Strategy Consultants, focusing on major retail and consumer goods clients. He further enhanced his international expertise by earning a double master’s degree in International Management and Russian from Rotterdam School of Management and St. Petersburg University Graduate School of Management.

Returning to consulting, Alex then joined OBI Group, one of Europe’s largest DIY retailers, where he worked directly with the CEO. He managed 28 stores across Russia and led OBI’s successful market entry into Kazakhstan, demonstrating his ability to drive growth and navigate complex international markets.

In 2019, inspired by his global experience and passion for travel, Alex transitioned from the corporate world to launch TripLegend, a sustainable travel e-commerce business designed for solo adventurers seeking meaningful and eco-conscious travel experiences.

Fluent in German, English, and Russian, with conversational skills in Spanish and Chinese, Alex has traveled to over 60 countries. Among his most memorable experiences is encountering mountain gorillas in Uganda—a poignant reminder of the natural world he strives to protect through sustainable business practices.
